No. XLVII. p. 331.KINGSTEIGNTON, on the banks of the river Teign, 2 miles N.E. from Newton Abbot, contains 219 houses and 1131 inhabitants. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, is a vicarage, value 28l. 13S. 9d. in the patronage of the Prebendary of Kings Teignton, in the Cathedral of Salisbury. The parish, formerly considered unhealthy, has been improved by drainage of surface water.
