] and, last, but not least, Manor House and Grounds, the residence of Miss Long. This enchanting place deserves particular notice; there is not probably a more delightful spot in Devonshire. The Dawlish-water stream running though the grounds, cascades have been formed, and trout abound. The green-houses are well stocked with the choicest plants, and the flower beds, so tastefully arranged by Mr. Horsham, the gardener, are the admiration of every visitor. Miss Long kindly allows visitors to walk round the gardens and grounds, which must be seen to be duly appreciated.[Text may be taken from a different source or edition than that listed as the source by Somers Cocks.]
