Scope and Content
A guide to the Chudleigh Rocks and surrounding scenery. Chudleigh: The Weekly Express Office, 1867. p. 14The stream is called Kate Brook. It rises on Haldon, flows east of the town, and receives the limpid springs of Waddon. It is divided in its course, and has to work three flour mills. Before entering the Dell, the mill-stream is united to its kindred waters; below the Dell it is again dammed up to work the Chudleigh Bridge Mills, after which crossing the Newton road it is lost in the Teign.[Text may be taken from a different source or edition than that listed as the source by Somers Cocks.]
