Scope and Content
The Knowle Cottage of 50 years is that portion of the building with Verandah and Glass House shown to the right in this and the following sketch [P&D02552]. It belongs to - Fish, Esq., who permitted the public to see the cottage, with its costly furniture, musical clocks, and many curiosities and the grounds and rockeries with zebras, kangeroos and birds from foreigh parts, on Mondays during the season.
